RESPONSIBILITIES Performs various tasks associated with the integration of a wide variety of electrical, mechanical, and communications components on military vehicles. Must learn the systems very quickly and develop an outstanding sense of quality with respect to the vehicle’s use in a combat environment. Candidate should have an engaging personality that will aid in getting answers from project managers and engineers, not to mention occasionally be able to speak in front of the customer and answer tough questions in a professional manner. Applicants will need to have an exceptional ability to work independently without supervision.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Some formal training is preferred covering various subjects such as: Installation tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray / Conduit, and Making and Repairing Connectors.
  • 0-4 years of practical electronics experience with respect to electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
  • Candidate must be able to complete assignments under constantly changing and tight deadlines and work well within a team.
  • Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to follow an installation diagram
  • Professional, presentable appearance compatible with the military environment.
  • This position requires a mature, motivated, self-starter with exceptional drive and initiative.
  • This individual needs to have a great sense of detail, technical ability, and work ethic.
  • This position requires someone who can not only work well with others, but be able to UNDERSTAND what they are doing and WHY something is being performed in such a fashion.
  • They should have an inquisitive nature and be willing to ask questions.
  • Ability to safely complete all of the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following: Lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds, unassisted, on a regular basis Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, standing or squatting for extended periods Repeatedly manipulating and handling tools needed for installing electrical components, mechanical parts and metal work into vehicles.
  • Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is necessary

Nice To Haves

  • C4ISR integration experience is a plus.
