The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. Responsibilities Perform nonroutine and complex inspection assignments involving Flight hardware, GSE and the manufacturing of flight and GSE hardware. Inspects major units, devices, or equipment; validates work performed on installations, tests or experiments. Assists in inspection tests to evaluate equipment performance. Demonstrates extensive proficiency within expertise and ability to mentor less experienced technicians and engineers. Under direction of the engineering staff, applies engineering principles and theories in inspecting, testing, and modifying equipment both flight and GSE. Performs other duties as assigned.
