We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician IV to oversee site inspections, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide guidance to staff and the public on environmental matters.

Requirements

Associates Degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology or drafting and design; AND
Four (4) years of technical experience that includes computer aided drafting (AutoCAD) or surveying, OR
Four (4) years of technical engineering experience in the area of engineering to which the position is assigned;
OR
High School diploma or GED; AND
Six (6) years of technical experience that includes computer aided drafting (AutoCAD) or surveying, OR
Six (6) years of technical engineering experience in the area of engineering to which the position is assigned
Must possess a valid Class-E State driver's license at the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

Conduct mandatory environmental inspections for projects with management permits, including new construction and redevelopment sites.
Review construction sites for compliance with sediment run-off containment, stormwater management, tree impacts, regulated environmental feature protection, and approved plans.
Provide guidance to staff and respond to public inquiries regarding environmental concerns and tree impacts.
Support permit application reviews and ensure projects meet environmental regulations and best practices.
Review electronic submittals, including pre-construction meeting documents and project close-out materials, for accuracy and compliance.
