About The Position

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an Engineering Technician Intern to join our team! Requirements

• Pass drug and alcohol testing
• Good mechanical skills and experience
• High standard of quality and efficiency
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Solid knowledge of shop mathematics
• Team player, able to multitask and prioritize accordingly
• Basic PC knowledge (MS Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work in a physical capacity, lifting and moving heavy objects
• Must be a US Citizen
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a government driver's license
• Working towards a High School diploma
• Currently enrolled in a high school metal working/welding class
• At least 2 years in high school metal working/welding class or equivalent experience

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of CAD systems
• Strong 'hands on' mechanical skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in on-the-job training for general welding and joining
• Operate manual machining, milling, and turning
• Set up and operate CNC machinery
• Perform basic shop tasks
• Support engineering activities
• Assist with day-to-day needs of the shop
