An Engineering Technician III within Operations works on complex high-end test systems requiring independent action. This position contributes to the development of concepts and techniques on the development, testing and implementation of new products and requires a high degree of initiative. This position works cross functionally with Engineering, Quality, Marketing and Purchasing to develop and implement testing methodologies and to troubleshoot and maintain test and calibration equipment.

  • Assist in the development of test equipment and processes and implement new designs
  • Support the troubleshooting of test benches and equipment in support of Service and Production
  • Perform analysis to draw conclusions and present results
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt quickly to new designs and concepts
  • Evaluates and applies standard techniques and company test procedures
  • Construct, evaluate, and troubleshoot prototype equipment
  • Perform test equipment verification, validation and reliability testing of design specification by defining and executing verification procedures and test plans
  • Record test results, numerical and graphical data, and make recommendations for changes to product or test methods
  • Generate documentation, including drawings, manufacturing procedures, BOM's, and inspection procedures
  • Track and communicate project status, help develop schedules and specifications
  • Travel to customer or field test sites to support field implementation of test equipment
  • Identify and work with vendors on engineering and production components
  • Interact with cross functional groups
  • Completes other assignments and special projects as requested
  • 2-year Electronic Technology certificate
  • 7 + years of experience as an Engineering or Production Technician
  • Troubleshooting and repair skills using electronic test equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Occasional travel inside and outside the United States
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship. We require proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • 2-year Electronic Technology AAS degree
  • Knowledge of computers and networks desired
  • Familiarity with databases like SAP
  • Knowledge of electronic test equipment i.e., Oscilloscope, DVM, and other test equipment
  • Knowledge of electronic components and their usage in electronic circuits
