About The Position

SAIC is seeking an Engineering Tech III to work with their Radar Restoration team in Bedford, IN. The role involves providing technical support for engineers in areas such as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement, specifically pertaining to electrical, electronic, or mechanical components or equipment. Technicians are expected to have practical knowledge of science or engineering, and potentially mathematics or computer science. Candidates must be familiar with mechanical and electrical concepts and applications, and have experience using various testing equipment and hand tools. The position may involve operating in environments requiring the use of ladders, scissor lifts, and man lifts, and candidates should have experience working with mechanical and electrical prints.

Requirements

• Ability to provide technical support for engineers working in areas such as research, design, development, testing, or manufacturing process improvement.
• Practical knowledge of science or engineering.
• Practical knowledge of mathematics or computer science (may be required for some positions).
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical concepts and applications.
• Experience using testing equipment such as: volt/ohm meters, power supplies, micrometers, calipers and depth gauges along with other hand tools.
• Experience in dealing with mechanical and electrical prints in their work history.
