About The Position

The Audio-Visual Engineering Technician II is responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of audio-visual and multimedia systems. This entry-level engineering technician role supports the design, setup, and repair of AV equipment to ensure high-quality audio and video production and delivery for meetings, presentations, and various events. This position is open to Chugach Employees, Chugach Shareholders and Chugach Descendants ONLY. Work Model: Onsite/In-Office

Requirements

  • Must have a High school diploma or equivalent GED and one (2) years AV installation/integration experience.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must have a Secret clearance
  • Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must be a U.S.citizen.
  • Basic knowledge of audio-visual technology, including hardware and software components.
  • Familiarity with video and audio signal flow, cabling, and connectors.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams.
  • Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies in AV systems.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Audio Visual Engineering & Design well versed in AV Applications.
  • Certified Technical Specialist (CTS) (AVIXA Certification).
  • Certified Quality Technician – (CQT) (AQAV Certification).
  • Extron AV Associate
  • Extron Control Specialist
  • Relevant AV Industry Certifications ‘
  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent years of installation/integration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Working with NIWC Pacific Engineering Technician II, will provide engineering & support services for various C2 facilities throughout the period of performance. Services required include supporting Engineers in the system installation.
  • Install, configure, and test audio-visual equipment including projectors, video displays, sound reinforcement systems, video conferencing units, and related electronics.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of AV systems during meetings, conferences, and events to ensure seamless media presentation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on AV equipment to prevent failures and optimize performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to AV systems under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers.
  • Document work performed, including system configurations, maintenance activities, and repairs.
  • Provide basic training and technical support to users of AV equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members and event staff to meet AV requirements and deadlines.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and company policies in the handling and operation of equipment.
