To assist Resident Engineer with administration and inspection of various projects. This is an Engineering Technician II position located in the Lexington Construction Office. This position will serve as a Project Inspector on roadway and structure projects. Project Inspectors are required to review NPDES paperwork and complete assorted documentation such as daily diaries, sample cards, asphalt reports, concrete reports, pay record books, materials received forms, and monthly pay estimates. Project Inspectors also monitor and inspect erosion control and traffic control devices, test concrete, perform density tests (conventional & nuclear), take material samples, and inspect asphalt or concrete placement. Project Inspectors take field measurements and perform a wide range of calculations and computations to determine contract pay quantities.
