This is entry to full performance level para-professional engineering position that is responsible for routine and less complex para-professional engineering work requiring the application of County policies and procedures related to a variety of transportation engineering projects within the Traffic Studies Division of the Office of Engineering and Project Management. The incumbent will provide technical support to the Department's engineers by assisting in the coordination and implementation of traffic studies; collect, compile and analyze transportation data to determine need for traffic control measures and to evaluate the effectiveness of existing controls and conditions. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Chief, Traffic Studies Division. Incumbent must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50lbs on a regular basis and must wear and maintain work uniform and safety equipment.
