About The Position
The Shasta County Public Works Department is seeking candidates for the position of Engineering Technician I, II, and III. The Engineering Technician I will perform inspection and contract administration on less complex construction projects, prepare routine engineering plans and specifications, draft and survey, and review land development documents for compliance. The Engineering Technician II will perform difficult subprofessional engineering work in the design, location, construction, inspection, and use of public works facilities, serving as Chief of Party and supervising quality control tests. The Engineering Technician III will perform the most difficult subprofessional engineering work, act as a resident engineer on major construction projects, and manage project administration. The ideal candidates will possess the necessary technical expertise and experience in civil engineering practices.
