L3Harris is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support the Operations Test Group. This role involves working with a diverse team to perform assembly, integration, and testing of space hardware assemblies. The technician will ensure adherence to strict spaceflight test standards and contribute to the development of thoroughly tested spaceflight products and systems.

  • Work independently under general guidance on moderately complex projects.
  • Adhere to strict spaceflight test standards and execute procedures, documenting results and generating test reports.
  • Train test technicians in safe and proper testing protocols.
  • Support Clean Room and assembly area maintenance and cleaning activities.
  • Support equipment performance verifications and validations.
  • Transport equipment to/from storage facilities and other sites as needed.
  • Support critical movements of flight hardware for test activities.
  • Conduct mid to high complexity testing of electrical sub-assemblies and components.
  • Contribute to process development and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Travel as needed for post-delivery support and integration activities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 2 years of related experience.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or clean room environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and occasional overnight travel.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% for customer product testing.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Strong professional work ethic and self-motivation.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical assemblies in the Space or Aerospace industry.
  • Hands-on experience with various hand tools and specialized tools.
  • Experience with written process and procedure protocols.
  • Experience with bench-top testing of electrical/mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with ESD safeguards and contamination control.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment.
  • Experience with computer systems and test equipment operation.
  • Experience with Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification.
