About The Position
The Engineering Technician E position at L3Harris in Salt Lake City, Utah, is a critical role that contributes to the company's success by performing test and debug operations on a variety of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), circuit card assemblies (CCAs), and components. This position is essential for ensuring that L3Harris products are thoroughly tested and debugged before delivery or repair. The technician will work in a production environment, where they will be responsible for both manual and automated electronic testing, as well as electrical troubleshooting and fault isolation. In this role, the technician will collaborate closely with the Manufacturing Supervisor and Test Engineering teams to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions related to testing processes. The technician will operate various test equipment, including signal generators and spectrum analyzers, and will actively participate in process improvement activities within both the testing and manufacturing environments. Adherence to L3Harris policies and procedures is paramount, including compliance with calibration of equipment, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols, foreign object debris/damage (FOD) standards, and general housekeeping practices. Candidates for this position should possess a strong background in electronics, with a focus on RF and digital signals, as well as proficiency in using test equipment such as RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, voltage meters, and oscilloscopes. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Security Clearance is also a requirement for this role, emphasizing the importance of security and compliance in the work performed at L3Harris.
