Requirements

  • Associate's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program or an approved equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or better in Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist engineers in the development of plans and reports for various types of projects.
  • Apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks for conventional types of plans, investigations, or surveys.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies and keep an organized work area.
  • Install equipment in the field.
  • Act as a primary data collector in the field.
  • Perform specific portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Perform standard computations or basic engineering analysis.
  • Prepare drawings and visual aids.
  • Observe construction activities.
  • Maintain equipment inventory.
  • Perform signal design tasks.
  • Perform quantity estimates.
  • Attend project meetings with senior staff.
  • Write report sections.
  • Perform basic QA/QC tasks and review own work.
  • Provide direction to interns and data collection staff.
  • Coordinate with municipalities/agencies regarding background volumes, accident data, signal timings, etc.
  • Develop and analyze trip generation and volume.
