This position within the Advanced Technology team will support the design, fabrication, integration, and testing of new technologies being explored for future Polaris products. The position will work hands-on with engineers, designers, and cross-functional partners to help bring early-stage concepts and prototypes to life.

Requirements

  • Hands-on technical fabrication experience in mechanical, manufacturing, or engineering technology, with demonstrated capability in fabrication, assembly, testing, and problem solving.
  • 5+ years of experience in engineering technician, prototyping, fabrication, testing, or related technical roles.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, follow mechanical specifications.
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills, including clear documentation and reporting
  • Effective at collaborating with cross functional engineering, design, and manufacturing teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Industry would be powersports or automotive
  • Basic proficiency with 3D CAD viewing or modeling tools (Creo, SolidWorks, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Build, assemble, and modify functional prototypes used to evaluate technologies for future product lines, translating engineering concepts and drawings into high‑quality physical models and test pieces.
  • Collaborate with team members, business partners, and cross‑functional groups to refine prototypes based on testing, feedback, and development insights.
  • Lead the construction of concept vehicles, components, and technology demonstration models, sourcing required materials, components, and hardware.
  • Support the development, integration, and validation of early‑stage technologies, partnering with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to install prototype systems into test units or vehicles.
  • Identify technical issues, risks, and improvement opportunities that arise during prototype development and integration.
  • Collaborate with engineers during milestone reviews, prototype evaluations, and cross‑functional planning activities to ensure alignment with program timing, requirements, and strategic needs.
  • Perform prototype testing, collect and document data, record observations and performance notes, and communicate results to engineering leads to support next-step recommendations as needed.
