About The Position

We are seeking an Engineering Technician – Integration & Test to support mechanical and electromechanical assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and integration activities for spacecraft and related support equipment. This role involves hands-on work in a controlled environment and supports a variety of engineering teams throughout the build and test lifecycle.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or technical training equivalent, plus 2–4 years of related experience (Mechanical or Manufacturing Technician experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Hands-on experience with aerospace hardware, harness builds, and soldering.
  • Understanding of electrical measurements, AC/DC principles, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of clean room operations and spacecraft handling.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as sanding or scrubbing for extended periods.
  • Ability to work all shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Must be able to wear and perform work in an N95 or higher-rated respirator.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, waveform generators, synthesizers, digitizers, and signal analyzers.
  • Familiarity with RF/microwave components (filters, couplers, splitters, amplifiers).
  • Experience with cryogenic systems such as dilution refrigeration, 4K cryocoolers, ADR systems, or liquid helium immersion setups.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly, wire harnessing, and soldering.
  • Apply epoxy bonding and polymeric materials for spaceflight hardware.
  • Use precision torque tools for fastener installation.
  • Maintain workspaces in compliance with ESD, FOD, and 5S standards.
  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on electronic equipment.
  • Support discrepancy identification, documentation, and resolution.
  • Utilize software systems such as Solumina MES, TipQA, Windchill, and CREO View.
  • Lead test configuration setups and equipment staging.
  • Set up, troubleshoot, and repair Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), including test racks and desktop systems.
  • Assist with cable design and test configuration development.
  • Navigate and execute automated test scripts in Maestro and AstroRT environments.
  • Verify completion and documentation of test events.
  • Support hazardous or critical operations as required.
