Engineering Technical Specialist

The Technical Specialist is an advanced technical leader responsible for providing specialized engineering expertise, technical direction, and quality oversight across projects and disciplines. This role serves as a company-wide resource for complex design challenges and supports project teams through deep technical knowledge, mentorship, and technical problem-solving. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- 10+ years of applicable MEP consulting design experience preferred
- PE license required or equivalent advanced experience
- Extensive knowledge of discipline-specific engineering design, construction practices, and applicable codes
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer
- Occasional field investigations and site visits as required

Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical expert supporting projects across multiple markets and teams
- Lead complex engineering design efforts and high-level technical problem-solving
- Provide technical consultation to project teams and leadership
- Perform QA/QC reviews of drawings, calculations, and design documentation
- Support discipline standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with scope definition, technical planning, cost estimating, and value engineering
- Help resolve design conflicts, technical risks, and construction-phase issues
- Mentor engineers and design staff to support technical growth and consistency
