In this exciting role as a Process Engineering Technician, you will use your knowledge of Wafer scale manufacturing to troubleshoot wafer and device processing issues following structured problem-solving methods. You will complete complex tasks requiring judgment in determining work methods, interpreting test results and writing clear and accurate test result reports. You may also have responsibility for minor projects and assist on assignments that are moderately complex in nature. This is a compressed shift-nights position on C-shift which will work onsite at our plant in Tempe, AZ.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Laser systems and Opto-Mechanical assemblies.
  • Two-year degree (certificate) in Electronic Technology or equivalent (vocational or technical college).
  • Experience in regulated industry such as medical device industry.
  • Experience with semiconductor wafer processes & equipment.
  • Experience with laser welding, laser cutting, and measurement processes.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Minitab/JMP.
  • Experience with Lean Sigma, or Green/Black Belt Lean Sigma certification.
  • Experience and understanding of SPC principles including process capability analysis and control charts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and sustaining support in a manufacturing area.
  • Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
