About The Position

The Tech II - Engineering is responsible for a wide range of general and skilled maintenance tasks within the hospital and satellite locations. This includes work related to electrical systems, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and other facility systems to maintain the safety, functionality, and appearance of the hospital infrastructure. Unlike the Tech I position, this role involves more technical responsibilities, greater autonomy, and participation in the on-call rotation for after-hours needs.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum of 1-2 years of building maintenance experience
• Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, sanitation, refrigeration, and carpentry systems
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
• Skill in painting and general carpentry

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to facility-related concerns from staff and visitors
• Monitor Web Control and Building Automation Systems (BAS)
• Perform skilled work in areas such as electricity, boiler systems, HVAC, nurse call systems, plumbing, and carpentry
• Order and track parts and supplies needed for work orders
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation of work order completion
• Maintain high quality of work and follow ICSRA (Infection Control, Safety, Risk Management, and Accreditation) processes
• Perform snow and ice removal as directed
