About The Position

Element Electronics started in 2007 with a simple belief - every home should have access to TVs with the latest technology. After a few years, we decided we wanted to do more; in 2014, we opened our factory in Winnsboro, SC making Element the only major television company assembling TVs in the United States. Today, we continue to push ourselves and have expanded our product range of electronics and home appliances while continuing to provide customers with products with the latest technology, but at the most accessible prices. The Engineering Technician I is an entry-level role within the Engineering Department, providing essential support for manufacturing processes. This role also involves installing, maintaining, repairing, and programming automated equipment, such as robotics, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and conveyor systems, within manufacturing and industrial settings. This position offers hands-on assistance to engineers working on process development, production efficiency, and quality control for TV assembly and testing. As a member of the team focused on operational excellence, the Engineering TA I contributes to continuous improvement and ensures consistent product quality. The primary function of this position will be to perform routine engineering work and assist senior-level engineers. Other responsibilities include:

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED/equivalent (preferred)
  • Technical Certification (preferred)
  • 1-3 years experience with manufacturing support or similar role (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production line operations.
  • Familiarity with standard safety practices and workspace organization.
  • Ability to follow established work instructions.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment and process issues.
  • Willingness to learn about process optimization, quality control, and preventive maintenance.
  • Exposure to testing and calibration basics to support production and engineering initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience or knowledge of basic tools and equipment used in a production or assembly environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Intermediate Computer Skills
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer-controlled systems.
  • Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex, time-sensitive system issues.

Responsibilities

  • Production line equipment set up
  • Testing Instrument set up and making jig, special testing wire
  • Support production line, new model training, and model change
  • SOP development
  • Defect TV Failure Analysis
  • Instrument / Equipment / Tool / Jig Inventory
  • All other duties as assigned
