About The Position

Audubon Engineering is seeking a Engineering Systems Administrator to join their team in our Houston, TX office. This role will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Smart Plant Instrumentation system, ensuring its efficient operation, and supporting engineering and design teams with technical expertise. This role involves configuring the system, managing data, troubleshooting issues, and providing training and support to users.

Requirements

Minimum of 15 years of experience in administering Smart Plant Instrumentation or similar engineering software.
Certification or training in SPI administration.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation and control systems engineering
Proficiency in database management and system configuration.
Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with other engineering design tools such as AutoCAD, CADWorx IE or AVEA Instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain the SPI systems
Manage end user access and settings
Oversee the entry, update, and accuracy of instrumentation data within SPI.
Develop and implement data management procedures and standards
Provide technical support to engineering and design teams using SPI.
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and user queries.
Customize SPI to meet project-specific requirements.
Configure report templates, data sheets, and project databases.
Implement and manage interfaces with other engineering systems and tools.
Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for SPI users.
Stay in tune with new features and best practices, sharing knowledge with the team.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure SPI is effectively integrated into project workflows.
Assist in the development of project specifications and standards related to SPI.
Ensure the integrity and quality of instrumentation data and documentation.
