The Infrastructure Delivery Division – Bridge Office has an opening for an Engineering Supervisor. This position would be part of a larger 17-person team working with engineers, project managers, inspectors, skilled tradesmen, and business administrators. As an Engineering Supervisor, you will have an opportunity to supervise design and construction management aspects of bridge preventative maintenance, rehabilitations, replacements, and emergency repair projects. Your role, as an Engineering Supervisor, is to lead individuals, teams, and deliver results through coordinated project management. Specifically, you will also be able to: Assign and manage workload for up to four direct reports - provide support, guidance, document performance, and provide feedback for continual growth and development. Assist engineers in resolving technical engineering and/or project management-related issues on projects. Maintain accurate records and data on team’s projects for tracking & reporting and demonstrate a strong desire to learn, train, and transition to new systems. Work with our SME Engineer to develop and maintain a 6-year capital plan for vehicular and pedestrian bridges. Help resolve complex or sensitive community concerns on projects by bringing stakeholders together and facilitating productive conversations on multi-beneficial solutions. Participate in committees and task forces across multiple agencies and/or departments to discuss issues and ensure successful DOTI outcomes. Learn, promote, and convey DOTI values in the work performed including equity, safety, and employee appreciation. Balance time to support functions across teams and other duties as assigned with planning, design, or construction related issues.
