The Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the department, establishing the budgets and schedules of the projects in their department, and reporting metrics and statuses to the Technical Manager and the customer. They will provide leadership and direction to their direct reports and overall teams in terms of technical and non-technical guidance. They also will be responsible for helping to grow the business and execute the current work-flow.

Requirements

  • A professional engineer license is a must-have qualification for the supervisor role.
  • Candidates must have at least five years of experience in transmission line engineering.
  • Candidates should have an understanding of project management, including budgeting and adherence to timelines.
  • Candidates need to understand quality control processes, including developing and using checklists to ensure project quality.

Responsibilities

  • Manage 7 to 10 direct reports, primarily engineers, handling day-to-day issues, challenges, and PTO
  • Ensure projects are executed properly, with well-thought-out designs and adherence to quality standards
  • Update and improve operational procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide guidance on project direction, ensuring the execution team is prepared and aligned with project goals
  • Mentor team members, addressing questions and providing support to enhance their skills and performance
  • Involvement in QAQC tasks, ensuring project quality and adherence to standards
  • Responsible charge tasks, overseeing project execution and ensuring compliance with requirements
