The John Deere Engineering Internship Program is an opportunity targeted for college students. Engineers are supported in experiencing foundational engineering practices within Product, Factory and Weld Engineering. This internship allows students to make a difference by helping to build the technology to feed, clothe, and shelter the world. Interns will have the chance to apply their engineering degree in various ways, advance their careers, and define their unique engineering journey. They will also be plugged into a network of mentors, managers, peers, and resources to support their interests and skills.

  • Support foundational engineering practices within Product, Factory, and Weld Engineering.
  • Contribute to projects that help build technology for feeding, clothing, and sheltering the world.
  • Work with mentors and peers to explore career paths and opportunities.
  • Utilize engineering skills and knowledge in practical applications.
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Ag Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related degree.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Previous internship, co-op, or project-focused research experience.
  • Skill in using computer-aided design, engineering tools, and/or programming languages.
  • Willingness to relocate domestically to multiple US-based facilities in the Midwest and Southeast regions.
