What the job involves: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our team. During the internship, the intern would support the larger team with Playbook and Operating Procedures development, troubleshoot tips and tricks, protocols for system health checks, and work order control. In addition, the intern will have a key role working with operational teams to improve the overall performance and energy efficiency of the systems at a large corporate campus. The ideal candidate should be prepared to work in a fast-paced team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad and technical experience in various aspects of Facility Management and Commercial Real Estate The interns will have the opportunity to work with and learn from the following senior facilities engineers and management professionals: Facilities Management Professional • Support facility leaders with site quality, safety, and condition assessments • Engage with facilities team on innovation and process improvement initiatives • Use industry leading proprietary maintenance management software in support of life cycle asset management and sustainability initiatives. • Asset Management Support: Assist in asset life cycle management and condition assessments & preventive maintenance program optimization. • Smart Building Program Support: Assist in the operationalization of the Smart Building Program by coordinating the development of playbooks and operating procedures, ensuring clear guidelines are in place for the implementation of new technologies and systems. • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Help troubleshoot tips and tricks to optimize the performance of building systems. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop protocols for system health checks and work order control, ensuring efficient operations and maintenance of equipment. • Budget Planning: Gain exposure to the overview of operational budget plans and contribute to the analysis of budgetary needs in relation to program implementation and equipment maintenance. • Dashboard Development: Play a key role in developing dashboards to monitor the performance of building systems. Utilize data analysis and visualization tools to provide insights for decision-making processes and support the improvement of operational efficiency. • Use Case Refinement: Work closely with operational teams to develop and refine use cases that align with scheduled and demand-based services, leveraging data from systems, and contribute to the enhancement of occupants' experience within the building. Requirements

  • Students pursuing a degree or certification in facilities management, property technology, environmental studies, engineering, or any trade equivalent program are eligible to apply.
  • This includes current undergraduate students, as well as those enrolled in trade schools or vocational programs that offer qualifications equivalent to an undergraduate degree in the aforementioned fields.
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills - interest in analyzing data
  • Able to think critically and problem solve
  • Strong knowledge of PC, Windows, Internet applications. Word and Excel is a must
  • Adept to learning new programs
  • Willing to travel locally
  • Permanent US work authorization required.
