About The Position

STV currently has openings for a Civil Engineering Specialist in the Transportation group in New York, New York. STV is actively seeking a Civil/Roadway Engineering Specialist with 0 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic Transportation Group. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of roadway, highway, and transit projects, contributing to innovative infrastructure solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
Experience with MicroStation and/or OpenRoads Designer.
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

EIT/FE certification or progress towards obtaining a PE License.
Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software.
Knowledge of infrastructure design and construction processes.

Responsibilities

Assist in creating detailed construction drawings, plans, and specifications for roadway and transportation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and client communications, ensuring the clear and effective delivery of project information.
Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet project requirements and objectives.
