You'll get the satisfaction of making great products people use and love. In this position... Work as the primary contact for quality related support for V6 Engine Assembly. Your role requires responding to production issues that you will assist in helping to resolve. You will be responsible for daily quality reporting that will assist in driving improvements for overall quality, FTT, and RTY. You will be expected to attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings reporting out V6 quality and throughput status. Your role will also be integral in capturing and containing CEP engines that would require additional review before shipment. You will work with : The CEP V6 Engine Assembly Team CEP MP&L CEP Incoming Quality Team CEP Resident Engineer and other Engineering Personnel CEP Quality Team members

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, GD&T
  • Demonstrated experience in accomplishing tasks and objectives
  • Proven problem-solving ability
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (mechanical engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience focusing on Quality
  • Prior experience working with union personnel
  • Previous automotive and quality analysis experience

Responsibilities

  • Assist teams to resolve external and internal quality related concerns
  • Lead Assembly Dept Daily, Weekly, Monthly Management Quality reviews discussions (PIC, VRT, PQR)
  • Prepares, facilitates and documents Quality related meetings
  • Drive completion of Assembly Quality 3L5Ys and 8D’s.
  • Establish and verify ISPC & robust error proofing methods
  • Enforce the Quality Operating System, Provide statistical support and assistance, Provide process & component verification compliance
  • Support DCP Team, gage survey compliance, & gage R&R compliance, MDL compliance & plant quality documentation (DCP, OIS, & WES)
  • Support new & existing product programs, equipment selection & evaluation, establishing processes, implementing corrective actions & continuous improvement
  • Updates department processes per corporate FAP/PTPs procedures
  • Implements and maintains the Plant Quality Operating System.
  • Coach and teach plant teams on new and revised FAP, PTP, and FPS QOS items
  • Updates internal QOS to reflect external concerns (i.e. Warranty & TGW) by making QCM, DCP, and / or Process updates as required
  • Coordinates internal actions when necessary for the resolution of product quality concerns
  • Applies Quality Operating System within the plant guidelines interacting with various departments.
  • Provides statistical and traceability support and assistance
