Engineering Specialist III
About The Position
Support routine vacuum system operation, basic maintenance, and equipment readiness activities for R&D applications. Assist with system reconfigurations, staging, and materials movement under direction from senior staff. Perform basic troubleshooting of mechanical and vacuum-related issues and escalate complex problems to senior specialists or engineers. Follow established cleanroom, safety, and operational procedures to maintain a safe and compliant work environment. Maintain documentation for maintenance activities, part usage, and equipment status updates.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of vacuum system operation and general mechanical or electrical maintenance.
- Familiarity with common vacuum components such as pumps, seals, and gauges.
- Ability to perform routine material handling, inventory checks, and simple equipment adjustments.
- Willingness and ability to work 11.5‑hour shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting manufacturing or equipment engineering teams.
- Exposure to sputter deposition systems or similar high‑vacuum tools.
- Interest in developing troubleshooting skills for automation or equipment control systems.
