In this position, you will lead problem solving to assist plants and implementation teams in resolving tooling, equipment and conveyor performance issues and downtime. You will also develop and implement improvements to control systems and equipment using Factory Information Systems (FIS) data, lead problem solving in resolving equipment performance issues, and lead troubleshooting efforts, coordinating resources to find root cause and fixes. The role involves assisting in the training of manufacturing personnel and plant electricians, and integrating controls into IT systems like Factory Information Systems (FIS), Error Proofing, QWX, and QTS. You will troubleshoot machinery, robot, automation, and controls issues and downtime, use FIS plant monitoring software to review cycle times of equipment, and review and coordinate project installations. The position requires interaction with senior management, process engineering, safety, IT, and plant production teams. It demands a self-starting, self-directed individual with strong influential, organizational, and interpersonal skills, and a strong manufacturing background with heavy emphasis on production-related controls experience. You will also be responsible for reprogramming equipment for engineering changes and improvements and maintaining program backups for machinery and automation.
