Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical field.
  • Experience in designing and architecting network or systems-based solutions.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • One or more relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, CCIE, ACMP, among others.
  • Familiarity with Cisco, HPE, and Dell server technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide others.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented and organized approach to managing tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to service escalations promptly and make final deployment decisions to meet customer demands.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales and Service teams to drive the customer pipeline.
  • Create an enabling environment for team members, focusing on support and resources.
  • Monitor and minimize engineering hours written off annually to less than 2%.
  • Establish and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for engineering teams.
  • Manage required certifications for vendor partnerships and team continuing education.
  • Align training and professional development to support team members and reduce travel.
  • Participate in the interview process and provide insights on hiring decisions.
  • Develop career plans and education goals for engineers, including mentoring roles.
  • Participate in leadership calls to forecast team skill set and recruiting needs.
  • Engage in regional sales calls to stay ahead of upcoming projects and requirements.
  • Ensure proper standardized use of company systems and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between Human Resources and Engineering supervisors on team dynamics.
  • Compile and deliver performance reviews to ensure continued growth of engineering goals.
  • Maintain technical certifications relevant to expertise.
