Berkeley Springs Instruments, LLC (BSI) offers an exciting internship opportunity for students interested in Engineering Research and Development. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience and learning opportunities in a variety of technology products and services, particularly in the fields of electrical, mechanical, and hardware-software systems engineering. Interns will engage in research and development (R&D) projects that focus on the design, prototyping, and testing of innovative ultrasonic sensor systems, which are integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) for environmental protection and monitoring purposes. The internship can be either full-time or part-time, with flexible scheduling options available. While some remote work may be possible, interns will be required to participate in onsite or in-person work as needed. Interns will work in a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment, gaining diverse experiences that will enhance their technical skills and professional development. Interns will be involved in various projects, including the design and testing of fluid quality sensors, distributed sensor systems linked to cloud-based data, and the integration of AI with corrosion monitoring systems. They will also have the opportunity to work on software design for real-time sensor systems and develop simulations using Matlab. This position is ideal for students who are eager to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting and contribute to meaningful projects that have a real-world impact.
