HEICO is currently recruiting an Engineering and Quality Compliance Technician for its Seal Dynamics Business Unit, located in Tampa, FL.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with minimum 2 years experience; or minimum five years of experience in a related engineering or quality field.
  • Experience in working with aerospace, automotive or medical grade materials is a plus.
  • Prior experience involving understanding of Aerospace Materials Specifications (AMS), ASTM, AS, MIL, NAS specifications is a plus.
  • Possess a basic understanding of different types of metallic and non-metallic materials, elements in metal chemistry, finishing processes, and materials specifications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PC based Microsoft Office suite of programs - Excel, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and written and oral communication skills.
  • A strong work ethic, high attention to detail required to review documentation, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • A high level of energy, positive attitude, potential and willingness to learn about aerospace materials.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Materials Engineering and Quality in performing an in-depth documentation review of received materials and process certifications from suppliers and for analyzing them for correctness and compliance.
  • Interface with outside vendors to close any gaps in required materials certification paperwork.
  • Provide support in preparation of documentation required to send parts to outside Materials Analysis labs.
  • Provide Materials Engineering support in performing in-house materials testing with XRF equipment, hardness, and passivation test (Training will be provided).
  • Other Duties as assigned by Materials Engineering.
