Engineering Project Team Leader – Hydraulic Installation

About The Position

At Caterpillar we design industry leading mining and heavy construction machines that deliver a quality product to our customers. In this role you will manage multiple or complex engineering projects involving multiple functions, organizations, products, or value chains. This role will focus on hydraulic system installation for multiple off-highway truck machine platforms and new technology programs. This role will lead a team across multiple disciplines to execute NPI programs and continuous improvement programs.

Requirements

Proven experience in managing engineering projects with cross-functional scope.
Strong technical expertise in product design, troubleshooting, and development.
Extensive experience in project management, including risk analysis and contingency planning.
Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through technical expertise and stakeholder engagement.
Degree Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science from an accredited institution.

Responsibilities

Develop project scope to address business challenges and opportunities.
Coordinating resources across sales and marketing, product development groups, value chain and manufacturing.
Overseeing project progress and costs; communicating status with stakeholders and participating functional areas; addressing and resolving problems.
Directing project staffing; motivating and developing project team and team members.
