About The Position

Engineering Project Officer The Opportunity: As a project management specialist, you know the complexities of supporting a project from concept to completion. Many programs require a significant investment of limited resources, and it’s imperative to keep the project on a productive path. That’s why we need you, an experienced project management specialist who can help ensure success through careful analysis and effective communication. On our team, you’ll implement and maintain organizational programs in support of DoD programs. You’ll work with key stakeholders to review contracts and project cost accounting. You’ll help with tactical planning using resources like MS Project and regular interactions with integrated product team stakeholders, project officers, and senior leaders. The real impact of project management comes from communication to ensure the program achieves its goals and meets our quality standards. Requirements

  • Experience with the management and acquisition lifecycle of Defense programs
  • Experience with Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and tools
  • Ability to lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) discussions and present findings to senior leaders
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading communications with stakeholders and suppliers to support product development or ongoing production programs
  • Experience performing engineering analysis on systems and components
  • Experience deriving various types of requirements, including functional, non-functional, and technical specifications, to guide development and implementation
  • Knowledge of artillery and mortar systems
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Possession of excellent communication skills
