About The Position

The Engineering Project Manager oversees engineering and operations deliverables for small to medium sized projects. This position is responsible for managing the overall technical scope of a product development effort including translating product requirements into product specifications, product design, verification and validation plans, product cost and technical schedule.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or similar field.
  • 5+ years of engineering, project management and design control experience within a regulated industry, preferably within medical device products.
  • Experience must demonstrate successful development and launch of products preferably within medical device or OTC markets utilizing a stage / phase gate process.
  • Experience must demonstrate the ability to manage intellectual property, technical materials, files and processes.
  • Proven track record of success in engineering and project management roles within a high performance, entrepreneurial organization(s).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's in engineering, product development or similar field.
  • 510(k) experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all engineering deliverables outlined in the Design and Development Procedure are accurate and completed on-time.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create design input requirements.
  • Lead engineering efforts to translate design input requirements into product specifications.
  • Collaborate with marketing to ensure the VOC (Voice of Customer) is maintained throughout the product development process.
  • Collaborate with sourcing to assess existing and new supplier's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Program management to maintain overall project schedule, with an emphasis on technical tasks and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross functionally with supply chain, quality, production, sales and finance functions in new product development design and introduction projects.
  • Ensure product design complies with relevant regulatory/IEC standards.
  • Prepare and present product development presentations for senior management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
