What You'll Do: Engineer the Future with Us Lead the Charge: Spearhead engineering and construction projects from initial vision to successful completion. You'll identify opportunities, devise innovative solutions, develop detailed plans (including budgets and timelines), and expertly manage construction. Take ownership of project costs, keeping them on track and making strategic adjustments as needed. You'll also be the point person for vendor and supplier contracts, ensuring clear communication and on-time delivery. Visualize and Create: Leverage CAD software to bring designs to life, producing crucial drawings. Collaborate with internal and external design experts to develop comprehensive plans. Ensure Excellence: Provide on-the-ground supervision and meticulous inspection for construction projects. Conduct thorough post-project reviews to measure success, identify areas for improvement, and analyze the return on investment. Craft Winning Bids: Develop bid packages for construction projects and skillfully manage the resulting contracts. Communicate with Impact: Keep stakeholders informed with regular, insightful updates on project strategy, adaptations, and progress. Be Our Ambassador: Represent Vulcan Materials Company with professionalism and expertise at industry events, with government officials, and public organizations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in project management, ideally within heavy industrial or mining settings.
  • Well-versed in project management and engineering software, methodologies, and best practices, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from start to finish, adhering to scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making skills and fosters collaboration across all company functions to achieve Vulcan's objectives, vision, mission, and values.
  • Empowers team members by entrusting them with their responsibilities and ensuring accountability.
  • Proactively seeks novel and creative solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Skilled at defining and prioritizing short-term objectives and deliverables to effectively support the achievement of overarching strategic goals.
