About The Position

The Engineering Project Manager will manage and execute various projects including product and process upgrades, transfers between sister companies, engineering changes, technical investigations and analysis that lead to a safer environment, higher quality, and lower cost product. The Engineering Project Manager works closely with cross-functional teams—including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Leadership—to ensure project success. This position will involve hands-on interaction with electromechanical devices and frequent interaction with production teams for technical support, advice and problem resolution.

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedural manuals or government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. / B.S.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in mechanical engineering; and 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is required. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD Design software. Knowledge of ERP system in general
  • The employee may occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch during shift. Employee will be required to regularly sit, use hand to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. Employee must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull and or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering and capital projects from concept through implementation, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk assessment, and reporting.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Manage vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and report status updates to leadership. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Document and standardize new or updated processes that instruct employees on basic procedures for assembling products.
  • Deploy modern lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Ensures that products and components conform to engineering design, FDA and ISO regulatory requirements, and performance specifications.
  • Promote a safety-first mindset in all project activities
  • Additional responsibilities as requested or required by management.
