About The Position

We are searching for an Engineering Project Manager to join the Fluid Dynamics and Acoustics Office (FDAO) of the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State. This position will make an impact in supporting mission-driven research projects while also helping the lab to run smoothly. Requirements

  • Knowledge of lab electrical components

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate risks, resources, schedules, deliverables, and communications across multiple projects
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and reporting
  • Collaborate with engineers and Principal Investigators (PIs) to keep research programs and test events on track
  • Gather and archive research data and deliverables
  • Manage lab equipment, supplies, purchasing, and inventory
  • Track hardware procurement and coordinate with vendors for quotes and timelines
  • Liaise with internal departments and support process improvements
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships
  • Evaluate the selection of materials, and components based on operational and performance specifications
