Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
  • Other degrees considered with directly relevant experience
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs or similar regulated industries (highly desired)
  • 7+ years of relevant experience supporting engineering, technical, or program management activities
  • Experience supporting the design and development of complex systems
  • Experience identifying and assessing technical and programmatic risk
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering, program, and business teams
  • Project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and performance tracking
  • Exposure to or experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for reporting and presentations
  • Ability to travel as required (travel requirements vary by program)

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM / program management tools (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Support engineering programs by applying fundamental project management principles, processes, and tools
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of project plans, schedules, and milestones
  • Track and report program funding, budgets, and demand files under supervision
  • Collect, analyze, and report program performance metrics, including exposure to Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for technical reviews, program events, and leadership/customer briefings
  • Support system-level design, integration, build, and test activities as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Assist in preparing briefing materials, status reports, and review documentation for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support proposal and bid preparation activities as required
  • Coordinate and track problem reports and change processing metrics, ensuring timely prioritization and resolution
  • Assist with risk identification, documentation, and tracking to support risk management efforts
  • Evaluate, document, and disseminate customer feedback for corrective or improvement actions
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives under mentorship
  • Gain and apply experience using Teamcenter and other program management / engineering tools
