About The Position

Engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, machines, and other mechanically functioning equipment. Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required (master's preferred).
  • Licensed as a BSME.
  • 10 years' work experience in manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.
  • Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Customer Service Orientation - Satisfying customers.
  • Adaptability - Willingness to deal with unexpected challenges or circumstances.
  • Problem Solving - Defining problems and bring about viable solutions.
  • Foundational Information -- Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software and drafting procedures.
  • Organizational Skills - Excellent prioritization and project development skills.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
  • Works safely at all times.
  • Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and conducting research programs, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
  • Confirm system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods, testing properties.
  • Develop mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators.
  • Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installing components.
  • Assure system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
  • Prepare product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
  • Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special services.
  • Maintain system and product data base by writing computer programs and entering data.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
  • All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.
