About The Position

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for managing small to medium-sized projects with limited direction. This role serves as a critical link between technical engineering and operations teams, ensuring alignment of technical execution to organizational objectives. The Engineering Project Manager provides project leadership, facilitates collaboration across teams, and acts as the primary point of coordination for technical resources throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing/Industrial, Systems) or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing engineering or technical development projects.
  • Experience collaborating with engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, software, robotics), product teams, and technical program managers in a delivery-focused environment.
  • Technical understanding of integrated hardware and software product development methodologies
  • Ability to travel as needed to support project execution (Average one week every 6-8 weeks).

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certification.
  • 5+ years of engineering or technical project management experience leading New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept to launch.
  • Six Sigma Experience and familiarity with manufacturing environments and operational performance metrics.
  • Experience managing projects using iterative, agile, waterfall, and prototyping methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet given deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail while maintaining awareness of broader project objectives.
  • High level of personal accountability, ownership and self-motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of technology-focused engineering projects.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and dependencies based on approved scope and system-level requirements.
  • Coordinate project activities across Hardware Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Product, and Software teams to ensure successful project execution.
  • Manage sub-contractors and external partners when required.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and cross-functional dependencies, and escalate appropriately to leadership.
  • Prepare and deliver clear project status updates, risk assessments, and implementation plans to stakeholders and management.
  • Provide guidance to project supervisors or project leads assigned to specific initiatives when applicable.
