About The Position

The County of Riverside's Transportation & Land Management Agency (TLMA) is seeking an Engineering Project Manager (EPM) for the Construction Inspection Division, located in Riverside. This role will oversee the Encroachment Permit Section and Land Development Inspection teams. Key duties include supervising field and office staff, reviewing plans for accuracy, and coordinating with developers, utility companies, other agencies, and the public. The EPM will manage permit activities, issue occupancy and bond releases, review traffic control and utility relocation plans, and resolve conflicts related to land development and construction. The selected candidate will also serve as oversight engineer for large capital improvement projects and work with engineers and contractors to resolve construction issues. Additional responsibilities include preparing and reviewing contract change orders, managing construction contracts, monitoring budgets, assigning staff, and resolving project-related issues. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California, with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field, and have experience in construction project management and public works. The most competitive candidates will have construction management experience and at least six years of professional-level engineering experience, including responsibilities for large construction projects.
