Rotary and Mission Systems' Training, Logistics and Simulation (TLS) business is Lockheed Martin’s center of excellence for training and logistics products and services, serving the U.S. military and more than 65 international customers around the world. Based in Orlando, TLS develops programs that teach service men and women skills to accomplish their most challenging missions — flying the world’s most advanced fighter aircraft, navigating ships and driving armored vehicles. TLS is the corporation’s hub for simulation, X reality, live-virtual-constructive capabilities, advanced training devices and full-service training programs. TLS also provides sustainment services such as supply chain and logistics IT solutions, spares and repairs, as well as automated test and support equipment. Seeking a highly qualified experienced candidate that will serve as the Engineering Project Management Senior Staff for the Combat Rescue Helicopter Training Systems programs within the Air and Commercial Systems (ACS) Market Segment strategically leading the technical execution for CRH supporting the Rotary and Tactical Aircraft Training Solutions submarket segment. This role will be responsible for successful new business, execution, technical success and the performance of the team that supports them. The individual will be accountable for the overall technical approach, cost, and schedule performance of the CRH Training system effort. The EPM will coordinate with the Chief Engineer on technical approaches, Business Development for strategic input and customer trends, and Functional leadership for staffing considerations. The EPM has overall development execution responsibility to ensure technical objectives and business strategy are met successfully. As a key leader within our Project Management team, you will: Serve as the Engineering point of contact for training across all Engineering disciplines. Lead New business strategy and pursuit, in collaboration with Program Management and Business Development Manage Training Systems Engineering Change Proposals Track Estimated time to Complete/Earned Value Management (ETC/EVM) Metrics to monitor program performance and identify technical or Tech Ops staffing risks, while managing cost/schedule. Lead the execution and business rhythm for the training team and assigned engineers. Ensure that program Engineering and Technology processes and procedures are defined and followed. Review, participate, and monitor metrics. Analyze data and extract execution intelligence to drive success and highlight potential execution derailers early. Communicate execution status and issues internally to program leadership, technical leadership and partner organizations. Conduct Reviews with Customer & Suppliers that identify and mitigate cost, technical, and schedule risks. Travel as required to perform duties (~20% may be required). Note: This position will require the selected candidate to have the ability to obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • 10 or more years of engineering experience
  • 4 or more years demonstrated engineering leadership experience
  • Experience in engineering assignments and successful proven results in leading and executing on programs
  • Demonstrated cost, schedule, and technical accountability

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading cross functional teams in Agile / DevSecOps environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing development activities that include hardware and software integration
  • Working knowledge of the Training, Simulation, or Logistics Domain
  • CAM Experience
  • Experience with software factory toolsets
