About the Role Dandy is hiring a Engineering Program Manager to support our technology departments (EPD - Engineering, Product, UX Design). This is a strategic role that will drive the decision making process across Technology and help us scale, from improving and optimizing current processes and organizational procedures to enhancing efficiency and productivity. You will be reporting into the Engineering Chief of Staff / Principal TPM, who will be your primary execution partner.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of operations and/or strategy work
  • Technology, especially startup, experience highly preferred
  • Track record of success in building new operational processes and an ability to work through ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate new product opportunities by bringing internal stakeholders and existing/ new partners together
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and fix problems in a hands-on manner when needed
  • Experience using data to analyze performance and drive strategic decision making
  • Intellectual curiosity and research abilities
  • Proven capabilities in evaluating operational gaps/ weaknesses

  • Hands-on engineering or technical background (ability to read code, understand system design)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, micro-services architecture, or distributed systems
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and release management
  • PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant program management certifications
  • Relentlessly positive attitude, strong sense of humor, and the ability to have fun at work

Responsibilities

  • Close Communication Gaps: Streamline communication flow to unify the Technology strategy and expedite decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate seamless communication within each departments, across the technology departments, and with expansive organizations like GTM and Ops, emphasizing breaking down any existing silos.
  • Oversee Cross-Functional Initiatives: Own the process from ideation to execution on significant cross-functional endeavors, in close association with SLT and ELT.
  • Planning, coordination, and leadership of key meetings, workshops, and offsites to ensure comprehensive representation and participation.
  • Representing the department heads in pivotal meetings, ensuring the inclusion of a technology perspective in decision-making.
  • Drive accountability: Implement, monitor, and present the progress of various plans and goals to ensure consistent forward momentum.
  • Recognize opportunities: Scrutinize the current processes and operations to discover and remedy strategy, process, and skillset gaps.
  • Coordination and direction of teams within the departments to ensure synchronized progress.
  • Exposure to the full spectrum of technology motions, coupled with the responsibility of spotting and capitalizing on areas of improvement.
  • Planning and spearheading strategic initiatives.
