The Program Manager is responsible for managing projects, projecting resource needs, identifying scope variances, and taking corrective actions to ensure each project meets its timetable and exceeds its target margins and customer satisfaction goals. This position provides overall business management support for several projects simultaneously.

  • Prepare a complete estimate for all projects with a detailed review of plans, scope, and any other information provided.
  • Plan and organize engineering projects under the direction of the team leads and/or directors.
  • Prepare proposals and Engineering Potential Change Order (EPCO) in coordination with the team lead.
  • Ensure that proposals and EPCOs are submitted promptly through the official platform and are incorporated into the team records.
  • Validate and document customer acceptance of proposals and EPCOs.
  • Ensure that proposals and EPCOs are incorporated into the Fusion project budgets after the approval of the proposals and/or EPCOs.
  • Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project.
  • Update resources’ projections monthly.
  • Track project management funding of the designated cost codes for each project.
  • Ensure that everyone is cognizant of the timeline and scheduling to ensure on-time completion of the projects.
  • Maintain contact with Rosendin Production and Operations and Engineers to ensure cost effective and timely results.
  • Represent the team and the project at all necessary, non-technical meetings to address any issues that might arise.
  • Submit weekly project financial management reports that include Project Metrics such as expense versus budget, labor versus budget, and progress of the project versus the timeline.
  • Document and continuously update business processes that are unique to the Engineering Power Projects Team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience associated with electrical construction and or electrical contracting/contractors.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Financial awareness.
  • Decision making and problem solving capabilities.
  • Knowledge of construction technology, scheduling, equipment, and methods required.
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Project, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle and SharePoint preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive can do attitude.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.
  • Managerial background a plus.
