In this role, you will lead Network Optimization within the Global Sterilization Transformation Program for Medtronic. You will be responsible for leading and implementing enterprise-wide Network strategy, managing relationships with new Suppliers and Strategic Medtronic Manufacturing sites. You will be responsible for implementing sterilization programs across the manufacturing network, driving collaboration and strategy development with the Global Design and Regulatory Workstreams, and will influence key decision makers across Medtronic to deliver harmonized “One Medtronic” sterilization centers across our operations network. You will coordinate and lead critical Supplier partnerships and metrics to deliver validation activities, process implementation, and to drive coordinated planning and forecasting across our businesses. This position is remote to enhance our competitive edge and expand our cross-functional collaboration efforts.

  • Manage the Network Workstream to deliver network optimization across the enterprise with representatives across Medtronic Groups.
  • Lead partnerships and collaborate with regulatory workstream and development workstream to prioritize products and maintain timelines.
  • Partner with local Medtronic site leadership; lead coordination of all sterilization-related activities, including new supply chain routings and appropriate IT system updates.
  • Collaborate in pilots of new regulatory strategies as developed in collaboration with the Regulatory Workstream.
  • Develop and deploy standard process with strategic locations for measuring and monitoring internal sterilizers and sterilization suppliers performance for delivery, cost, and quality.
  • Organize and Lead an Enterprise-level workstream to design and implement sterilization projects in strategic locations.
  • Lead development and Project Management of all workstream milestones, including planning, meetings and executing all aspects of implementing, submitting to regulatory bodies, and implementation with a team that includes representation from across the company, global functions, and local sites.
  • Coordinate and centralize volume forecasting, network measurements, and business case development for specific strategic locations.
  • Coordinate and collaborate on all contractual agreements with relevant Suppliers.
  • Ensure team members are fully supported and that needs are met, including resources, data, and access to systems or functional partners.
  • Lead by example, driving a seek-to-understand culture and positive change environment.
  • Create a positive team culture for both technical subject-matter-experts and non-technical business process experts within the same program.
  • Ensure team members collaborate and provide input for their business unit or Group to drive effective solutions across cross-functional platforms.
  • Advise and define process-improvement throughout the program.
  • Create, consolidate and communicate reports and key data to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Leaders across the matrix to support program decision making and drive alignment proactively.
  • Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of Sterilization or Program Management experience OR advanced degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Experience managing Supplier relationships.
  • R&D Technical experience or NPD experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Financial acumen and aptitude.
  • ERP System and data or reporting system familiarity.
