Come be a part of team of future shapers that: Proactively reviews supplier capabilities, assess operational gaps to identify risks and takes systematic actions to develop a world class supplier. Is globally responsible for all supplier development, quality improvement and sustainment. Systematically drives Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations to prevent defects. Works directly with sourcing, business, engineering and our customers on strategies to improve product quality and delivery. Identifies and leads the implementation of continuous improvement projects. Are leaders creating a performance culture with our suppliers through coaching and technical engagement. We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Program Lead to take ownership of the Supplier Caused Customer Escapes (SCCE) Reduction Program and the Supplier Corrective Action Request (SCAR) Program. This position plays a vital role in improving supplier quality and minimizing disruptions in our manufacturing facilities. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in quality management to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing supplier performance, reducing customer escapes, and implementing effective corrective action processes.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of suppliers to evaluate their quality management systems and capabilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality improvement plans for underperforming suppliers.
  • Develop and execute supplier training programs to enhance their quality processes.
  • Establish and maintain quality standards and performance metrics for supplier quality compliance.
  • Lead the implementation of quality initiatives that align with organizational goals aimed at minimizing customer escapes.
  • Analyze supplier quality data and trends to identify areas of risk and opportunity for improvement.
  • Oversee the investigation of supplier-related quality issues, conducting root cause analysis to identify systemic problems.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with suppliers to address quality issues effectively.
  • Apply best practices throughout the supply base to reduce corrective action implementation time.
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations and supplier performance.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the supplier quality organization.
  • Lead quality reviews, providing insights and recommendations for optimizing supplier performance and reducing escapes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation related to supplier quality evaluations, decisions, and performance metrics.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement actions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Quality organization for a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with working with suppliers.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management principles and risk assessment methodologies within the aerospace industry.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, including customer reporting.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of leadership.
  • A change agent with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, including ability to interpret performance data, define actions, and implement solutions.
  • Effective collaboration skills to motivate and influence others at various levels without a direct reporting relationship.
