Will you help us design the next generation of revolutionary Apple products? Apple is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to join the Retail and Events EPM team. This diverse team integrates hardware solutions for retail spaces and special Apple events, like new product announcements, developer conferences, and store openings. These solutions are crafted to produce the best possible first customer experience and introduction to Apple products. DESCRIPTION Collaborating and facilitating communication across a variety of cross functional teams and OEM partners to meet aggressive quality, schedule, and cost goals. Filtering and distilling relevant information for appropriate audiences. Understanding technical issues and driving them to closure in a timely manner by bringing together key partners for decision-making. Providing project status across a wide spectrum of individuals, including executives. Traveling both domestically and internationally to piece part and assembly vendors to drive schedule and builds.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of combined experience in project management delivering products comprised of multiple materials and high aesthetic quality.
  • Are comfortable to drive day-to-day activities to meet overall project objectives.

  • Redirect pitfalls and develop a better course of action.
  • Identify and direct all resources required to execute successful projects.
  • Collaborate and facilitate communication across engineering managers, operations manager, marketing managers and our OEM partners to meet aggressive cost, schedule, and quality goals.
  • Lead cross-functional communication between project teams and external vendors.
  • Provide timely issue resolution and critical path management.
  • Offer multiple levels of status across a wide spectrum of individual contributors to executive management.
  • Understand technical issues and drive them to closure by bringing together key partners for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience.
  • Self-motivated and dedicated with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure dynamic environment.
  • Understand and deal well with rapid development cycles; remain flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity.
  • Experience managing raw material development.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding CAD/Mechanical design is nice to have.
  • You should have at least 5 years of combined experience in project management delivering products comprised of multiple materials and high aesthetic quality.
  • Prior Apple EPM experience highly desired.
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Mandarin fluency is a bonus.
