We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Manager to join our Data Center efficiency team, focused on driving infrastructure efficiency through the decommissioning of hardware assets and the management of infrastructure risks. In this role, you'll be the orchestrator of server decommissioning programs, ensuring every system is retired with precision, compliance, and minimal business disruption. You'll partner with engineering, operations, security, and finance leaders to reduce infrastructure risk, improve resiliency, and optimize our hardware lifecycle, all while advancing sustainability and efficiency goals. You'll also bring the executive presence to distill complex technical programs into clear, strategic updates for senior leadership and stakeholders.

  • Manage the end-to-end tracking of servers and infrastructure components scheduled for decommissioning.
  • Ensure decommissioning activities align with internal policies, compliance requirements, and security best practices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to schedule decommissioning efforts without disrupting operations.
  • Identify and track assets that pose infrastructure risks (e.g., under any infrastructure risk in the data centers, aging hardware, unsupported systems, inefficient racks, maintenance needs).
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to escalate, mitigate, and track resolution of risks.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of risk exposures and remediation plans.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking decommissioning progress, risk remediation, and infrastructure efficiency SLOs.
  • Provide regular updates to program stakeholders on asset retirement status and risk reduction progress.
  • Provide regular updates to decommission forecast from various lines of business.
  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in data center or infrastructure environments.
  • Solid understanding of server hardware lifecycle management and infrastructure operational risk.
  • Tried experience leading technical projects with cross-functional teams in a multifaceted, high-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
  • Proficiency in project tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, Asana) and data reporting platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with data center standards and best practices.
  • Experience working with asset management and decommissioning tools.
  • Knowledge of IT sustainability and responsible recycling practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Project Management, or equivalent work experience.
  • Comprehensive medical and dental coverage.
  • Retirement benefits.
  • A range of discounted products and free services.
  • Reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
  • Opportunity to participate in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
  • Eligibility for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.
  • Relocation assistance.
