About The Position

This position is for an engineering planner on the F-35 Training System Support Center (TSSC) team at Lockheed Martin. The TSSC is responsible for the sustainment of the fielded Training System enterprise, which provides pilot and maintainer training across multiple locations. The engineering planner will focus on tracking and planning tasks during the sustainment phase of the F-35 Training Program, primarily as a member of the Release Management (RM) team, facilitating changes to Training Systems products.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Access.
• Familiarity with JIRA and Confluence.
• Effective communication skills to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with process or engineering changes, schedule revisions, and work requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the F-35 Program.
• Familiarity with change management/configuration management.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies.
• Experience with Earned Value Management.
• Experience working with export controlled data (TAA/ITAR requirements).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Teams to understand the scope of change, change type, effectivity, and schedule.
• Evaluate a change for enterprise effectivity and sustainability and authorize its release for use on the Training System.
• Verify readiness of delegated change for field release.
• Process Release Authorization Notices.
• Support release processes for non-delegated changes.
• Coordinate with Aero and JPO counterparts for all change requests.
• Support TSSC Problem Management, Process Improvement, and Earned Value Management.
