Our facility in Highlands Ranch, CO /Littleton, CO has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, level 4 Engineering Planner for the GeoXO program with a focus on detailed execution of engineering. GeoXO (Geostationary Extended Observations) is a cutting-edge initiative led by Lockheed Martin focused on advancing space-based Earth observation capabilities. This program is designed to develop and deploy a new generation of geostationary satellites that will enhance our ability to monitor and understand various dynamic Earth processes and environmental conditions. Click here to learn more about the history of GeoXO. Be a part of the most cutting-edge technology in Space. Our team helps plan and schedule Lockheed Martin's new and emerging technologies. You will work closely with Program Planning, Engineers, and CAMs to develop the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and detailed supplemental schedules to track and manage engineering releases for spacecraft and spacecraft assemblies to meet program deadlines. This position will be in office full time, based on program needs. You will be challenged with leading other Engineering Planners and developing the bench strength within the organization through knowledge transfer while architecting and maintaining detailed engineering schedules, driving accountability, analyzing critical paths, and reporting various engineering health metrics and KPI's. Requirements

  • Must be proficient at using Microsoft Project or Open Plan and able to architect and maintain detailed schedules.
  • Advanced experience with resource loading, capacity management and constraint resolution within a schedule.
  • Demonstrated experience as a lead or leading a team of people.
  • Advanced experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), EVM Metrics and EVM Guidelines
  • Previous or current experience working with IPT Leads / Engineers / Engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with 10+ years of relevant work experience in planning, scheduling, or manufacturing
  • Current experience using Microsoft Project Server or Open Plan.
  • High level understanding of an Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Ability to multi-task, organize and delegate effectively.
  • Advanced understanding of spacecraft architecture, manufacturing and test.
  • Ability to act with urgency and diplomacy to challenging issues and customers.
  • Ability to exert influence, develop enduring relationships and energize the team.

Responsibilities

  • Architect detailed, logic-based engineering release plans and supplemental schedules in Microsoft Project in support of the IMS.
  • Functions as a lead for multiple Engineering Planners. Exerts influence at the higher levels of the Program and organization.
  • Work closely with Engineers and Engineering CAMs to develop credible and executable schedules and release plans. Drives accountability and influences stakeholders at senior management levels.
  • Work closely with Program Planning to help develop the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
  • Primary POC Engineering Planning during the proposal phase of a Program and help develop the Engineering planning Concept of Operations for the program, provide inputs for Basis of Estimates and architect early supplemental schedules.
  • Collaborate with Program Planning and Operations Planning counterparts frequently to maintain vertical and horizontal schedule traceability across the Program as part of the Demand Management process.
